Propagation Constant

The complex propagation constant is the product of j and the angular frequency $\omega$ divided by the complex speed of sound. The real part gives the attenuation of sound in Nepers per metre as the sound travels through the material.
The imaginary part is the angular frequency divided by the magnitude of the speed of sound in the material.
